Terms of Service
Last updated 23 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Pressroom (the “Service”), a web application operated by Brass Lantern Studios Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17208101) (“Pressroom”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Pressroom is a sales and content platform for B2B magazine publishers, providing tools for prospect research, proposals, content production, scheduling and publishing. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
2. Accounts
Access is granted on an invite or approval basis. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to bind your organisation to these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or in breach of any third-party rights;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful;
- attempt to access, probe or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure or other accounts;
- reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the Service except as permitted in writing; or
- use the Service to send spam or to breach applicable marketing and privacy laws.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content, data and materials you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights needed to use it.
5. AI-generated output
The Service uses third-party AI models to help generate research, drafts and other output. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for your review — you are responsible for checking it before relying on or publishing it.
6. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
7. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (for example social networks and email providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and trademarks, is owned by Pressroom and its licensors. These Terms grant you no rights to it other than the limited right to use the Service as described.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably need to in order to protect the Service or other users. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections intended to survive (including ownership, disclaimers and liability) continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pressroom will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
